Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, works to save and transform the lives of sick children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital, raising £50 million since 1995.
The Grand Appeal funds pioneering medical equipment, free family accommodation, child-friendly facilities and artwork, and arts, music and play therapy programmes to support sick children and babies from Bristol, the South West, South Wales and beyond.
The charity continues to raise money for new life-saving medical equipment such as the South of England’s first 3T MRI scanner and intra-operative scanning suite, and a pioneering image-guided neurosurgery robot to treat children with brain tumours, and supported the expansion of the Children’s Hospital, to integrate specialist burns, neurosurgery and major trauma units.
