Lisa is a Paediatric Cardiac Nurse Specialist (Lead) INTERESTS / EXPERTISE / RESEARCH IN CHD Transition to adult services Paediatric CNS Service development CNS input in cardiac network development CURRENT ROLE AND EXPERIENCE Lisa has worked within the paediatric cardiology department for the past 14 years, (bar a few months spent in the research field), and has been a member of the Cardiac Nurse Specialist team since 2011. She currently fulfils the role of Lead CNS, a job which ensures that the CNS team is working to the best of its ability and is delivering on the national cardiac standards set out by NHS England. Prior to 2011 Lisa undertook cardiac ward nursing roles at both junior and senior level. For a brief period between 2010-11 Lisa was part of a large national research project sponsored by NIHR (National Institute for Health Research,) and hosted

She trained in fetal cardiology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Centre, Babies Hospital, New York. She was a consultant children's cardiologist and leading specialist in fetal cardiology at the Latvian Cardiology Centre for Children, University Children’s Hospital in Riga, Latvia until 2007. She has been a consultant at King’s College Hospital London since 2007 and at Evelina London Children’s Hospital since 2009. He qualified in London and underwent postgraduate training in Oxford and Cambridge completing sub-specialty training in Fetal Medicine at Imperial College, London. He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Imperial for his thesis “Non-invasive Prenatal Diagnosis”. He is past-President of the British Maternal and Fetal Medicine Society, a member of the RCOG Council and was instrumental in developing the national guidelines for the routine 20-week anomaly scan.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Dr Joanne Jones works as a BSE and EAE accredited sonographer providing Fetal and Paediatric echocardiography in both the Bristol Children’s and St Michael’s Hospitals. Dr Joanne Jones was part of the Public Health England project to implement the 3vT view into routine practice in 2015 and has continued to support sonographer training across the UK with the charity Tiny Tickers. Dr Joanne Jones also provides lecturing on congenital heart disease at the University of the West of England and is currently enrolled on a Health Education England supported professional doctorate to achieve Higher Scientific Specialist Training (HSST) as a consultant clinical scientist.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

She worked as a Midwife sonographer at North Bristol Trust before moving to the Bristol Children’s hospital and specialising as a fetal cardiac sonographer in 2012.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

She developed a subspecialty interest in fetal cardiology and currently works at Centro Hospitalar Universitário S. João.
